A global space to grow capacity for collaboration, systems change, process activism, and collective wisdom.
The Value Web Learning Community is a global community of facilitators, designers, conveners, and systems changemakers.
Our roots trace back to 2005, when a team of knowledge workers transformed the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting into a space of co-creation. That experiment became The Value Web: a neutral, nonprofit organization that brings together practitioners working to reimagine how decisions are made and how change happens.
Today, we gather in this online Learning Community to deepen our shared practice and expand the field of collaborative design for the common good. While many of us were shaped by the MG Taylor methodology, we now actively embrace methodological diversity, welcoming practices across facilitation, systems thinking, design, and beyond. We believe the world needs new ways of thinking, working, and deciding—together.
This isn’t just a hub for resources and event recordings. It’s a living, growing network of peers and pioneers who believe in the power of facilitation to influence systems, activate communities, and co-create life-affirming futures.
When you join, you’ll gain access to:
Academy – Learn and grow through models, tools, courses, and peer exchange
Assembly – Practice convening, hosting, and co-creation across differences
Advocacy – Amplify your voice and elevate the field of process design
Learning Pods, case studies, and real-world stories from practitioners
A trusted network of people who share your values and purpose
A space to experiment, teach, lead, and belong
We welcome individuals and organizations who:
Practice across facilitation, systems thinking, visual practice, or participatory design
Are committed to co-creation and collaborative processes for impact
Operate across sectors—social, public, private, civic, or hybrid spaces
Are ready to contribute, learn, and lead with humility, courage, and curiosity
Whether you’ve been practicing for decades or are just stepping into this field, if you believe in the power of process to shape the future—you belong here.
The Value Web began as a bold experiment at the World Economic Forum in 2005. What started as a single collaboration became a global network of process practitioners and systems thinkers dedicated to building better ways of working together.
Grounded in the Ten Design Assumptions developed by Matt and Gail Taylor, we recognize that our world demands not just better decisions—but new ways of deciding. That is why we are committed to growing the practice of process activism—championing facilitation as a strategic, ethical, and transformative act.
